New Insights on Aging Well After Childhood Cancer

Dear LTFU Participants,

Thank you for joining us for the Spring 2026 issue of LTFU Update. In this newsletter, we share what we have learned about how childhood cancer survivors’ health can change as you get older. We talk about healthy aging and how certain cancer treatments may affect your health many years later.

You will also learn more about frailty, a condition that can make people feel weaker, more tired, and less able to handle stress. Our goal is to help you understand what frailty is and how you can stay as strong and active as possible.

We also discuss sleep in this issue. Our recent research shows that sleep, pain, mental health, and physical activity are all connected. The good news is that simple daily habits can improve your sleep and support your long‑term health.

Your participation in the Long-Term Follow-Up (LTFU) Study makes this research possible. Your time and your experiences help us learn how to better support childhood cancer patients and survivors everywhere.

With gratitude,
Greg Armstrong, MD, MSCE
